Singer Joni Mitchell is not in a coma as reported by Family Friend.

 

A rumor has been on the air about Joni Mitchell is in a coma   saying the folk legend remains in the hospital but is "alert" and expected to make a full recovery.


 "Contrary to rumors circulating on the Internet today, Joni is not in a coma. Joni is still in the hospital - but she comprehends, she’s alert, and she has her full senses. A full recovery is expected," Mitchell's friend Leslie Morris said in a statement on JoniMitchell.com. 

Mitchell's website posted the statement Tuesday after TMZ posted documents showing Morris, who is reportedly in the hospital with the singer, had filed court documents to become the singer's guardian.
