A loving husband has died of a ‘broken heart’ after seeing the love of his life pass away just weeks earlier.
Nev Wild was left devastated after seeing his wife of 48 years Gillian die of breast cancer.
The devoted 69-year-old husband from Derby was not thought to have any health conditions, but after losing his beloved partner, Nev died just six weeks later from a heart aneurysm.
Daughter Cathy Stoneystreet, 42, said:
They later married and Nev went on to become a mechanic while Gillian looked after the three children they had
Sadly Gillian, also 69, lost her fight for life on Sunday, March 15, after a short battle with breast cancer.
And then just six weeks later, on Monday, April 27, Nev died from an aneurysm of the heart.
Cathy said: "We're all going to miss him very much but it does give us some comfort to know that mum and dad are together.
"They never did anything without one another so I'm glad that they're together again now."
