ASAP Mob Founder Asap Yams, Steven Rogriguez Passes Away

A$AP Yams, A$AP Mob’s founder and visionary, has passed away. He was 26 years old. Real name Steven Rogriguez, A$AP Yams grew up in Harlem and founded the Mob with fellow New Yorkers ASAP Bari and ASAP Illz in 2007. They met ASAP Rocky in 2008, and by 2011 had signed major label deals.

It’s unclear what the cause of his death is, but Yams was known to use codeine and Xanax heavily.
He did, however, spend a brief stint in rehab last summer in an effort to curb his drug addiction.
Sadly enough, Yams’ last tweet was also about codeine, pictured below.
