Bomb Explosion at Petrol Station in Kano

A bomb reportedly went off at a petrol station in Kano this afternoon. Eye-witnesses say the blast happened at Filin Parking in Kantin Kwari Market in Kano around 3: 30pm. Kantin Kwari market is said to be one of the largest markets in Kano. “I heard a huge sound coming from the back of my shop along Unity Road. I just closed the shop and tried to leave because it’s not safe,” trader Nura Sadiq told AFP.

 No official casualty figure has been issued yet but many traders and patrons of the market are believed to have lost their lives.
