Mild drama ensued on Monday, at Osia Junction Roundabout, Ughelli, Delta
State, when an epileptic commercial motorcycle operator (okada rider)
suddenly started convulsing and slumped in the middle of the road.
Witnesses said the Okada man (names withheld) in his early 50s, noticed an impending epileptic crisis.
So
he quickly stopped in the middle of the road, told his passenger to
step down from the motorcycle and immediately slumped to the ground,
convulsing in spasms.
When Vanguard visited the scene at about
9a.m., the victim was still on the ground with passers-by and
sympathizers trying to get a glimpse of him.
After he recovered
about 10 minutes later, other Okada riders, who later identified him,
took him off the road and carried him home.
