Jon Serianni allegedly paid out between $15 to $25 for each of the inappropriate snaps of the girl while working as an educator in the Cameron County School District, reports The Bradford Era.
The 41-year-old, from Emporium, reportedly overheard some male students talking about the images.
Police say he texted one of the boys to offer cash in exchange for the photographs. In total he coughed up less than $300.
He was busted, however, after word of the seedy deal got back to the girl.
The male student was interviewed by police and admitted to sending Serianni the pictures.
Cops raided Serianni's home and found 190 pictures of young girls, who were nude or in sexually explicit poses.
Cell phones, video game systems, compact discs, eight digital memory cards, two external hard drives, laptop computers and several cameras were seized.
Serianni was charged Tuesday with child pornography and corruption of minors. He was released after he posted a $7,500 bail.
The teacher, who could face further charges, is expected to appear at a preliminary hearing on Jan. 22 at the Cameron County Courthouse.
